My chapter, entitled The Color of Poo, describes four-weeks at the CARE baboon rehabilitation center in South Africa.
The second half of the book is a wonderful resource section with two pages for each agency. The information includes name, contact information, type of project, cost, length of programs, accommodations and what to expect as a volunteer. The resource section offers the best compilation of volunteer opportunities with animal welfare agencies that I have come across.
